According to the Regulation No. 357/08, which runs through the 2010 season and, according to its Article 1, prohibits the hunting of cougar (Puma concolor) in the entire territory of the province of La Pampa this season (2010).


Article 2 states that, for the case of farms authorized by the Department of Natural Resources and Wildlife Management Office, if applicable will be agreed with the latter body, methodology and quotas for each particular case.

                  Prohibiting hunting and trading of wild animals

The Provincial Directorate of Environmental Policy and Natural Resources reminded the validity of provincial laws prohibiting the hunting of animals and urged to report the purchase and sale of wildlife.


The position of the entity under the Ministry of Production and the Environment responded to the alarming situation caused by the increase in trafficking (sale and purchase) of Jujuy fauna.
