Hunting of elephants in Zambia
They hunt in two different regions Chiawa and Lunga, the first in southern Zambia (30 min flight from Lusaka), only separates us from the Zambezi ManaPools Park, where there are very large elephant and the second to the west (1hour flight from Lusaka) along the Kafue Park where hunting is particularly large maned lion, leopard, antelope and Sable Sitatunga. There are bars on thetwo areas.
Many elephants in the region including Chiawa males which ensures the success of your hunt. Only 4 hunters per year go to hunt an elephantand all leave for 3 years with their elephant. Please note that during the last
three years no elephants have been shot with peaks less than 54 pounds.
Hunting season
The hunting season for the Elephant from 1 May to 15 November. For the elephant, we recommend the periods May, June,September and October. The camps have a lot of charm and are very comfortable. The tents are spacious, fully sealed and are for two people. Fridge, freezer and light by solar panels or generators. Catch (220 V) for electrical equipment are available in all camps.
Equipped 4x4 hunting vehicle. Transport You must go to Lusaka via Johannesburg or Nairobi. Once arrived in Lusaka you will have to take a specially chartered plane and then transfer by car to the hunting area.
Weapons and ammunition A rifle bolt is a perfect double for the express possibly elephant hunters. If possible caliber BB 375 or equivalent, 416 rigby and above
only for regulars. Half armored bullets (300 grains) and armored majority (5 to 10 max.) Same brand of ball for the entire stay (recommended Ammo: Norma TXP, Trophy bounded by Federal or bullet GPA). The rifle must be equipped with a preferably telescopic sights set beforehand by a dealer. A monocular badly can transform your safari into a nightmare! ! ! We strongly advise you to take advantage before your stay, the best is to make these shots set on a tripod,accessory often used in Africa. For hunting leopard we recommend a telescope for sighting light shooting is often done just before nightfall.
