You are on Hwy 540 and you are travelling west from Kagawong. You are
almost to Gore Bay, but not quite, when you come upon a small, still
lake. It is usually the first island lake to freeze over in winter and
the first to thaw in spring. The Hwy runs right across its northwestern
end via a causeway.

The quaint town of Evansville is located on Highway 540 in the western
