You are on Hwy 540 and you are travelling west from Kagawong. You are
almost to Gore Bay, but not quite, when you come upon a small, still
lake. It is usually the first island lake to freeze over in winter and
the first to thaw in spring. The Hwy runs right across its northwestern
end via a causeway.

The quaint town of Evansville is located on Highway 540 in the western
region of Manitoulin Island. You can reach the town from Little Current
via Highway 540, before reaching the town you will cross over Indian
Point Bridge, a causeway intersecting the narrows between Lake Wolsey
