The Minipi watershed was discovered decades ago by angling pioneer Lee Wulff. Realizing the fragile nature of this region, he kept his discovery secret until he could line up outfitters who would faithfully pledge to run their operations on a strict catch and release basis. Now, many years later, this fishery, because of proper management, remains productive. Brook trout run two to four pounds on the average, with many in the five- to seven-pound range. There is the possibility of an eight pounder. It's quality, rather than quantity fishing.
