brabant_lodge.jpgBrabant Lodge is located in the Northwest Territories on the Mackenzie River where it exits Great Slave Lake. From its strategic location, Brabant guests have access to miles and miles of superb northern pike waters. Every year The PanAngler ranks it as one of Canada's Six Best Pike Waters. Pike will average 6 to 12 pounds, but adept anglers will scrimmage with several pike in the 15- to 18-pound range possibly every day. Pike of over 20 pounds are taken throughout the summer season.

The two largest pike in 1995 were caught by Terry Meier (29 lb.,7 oz.) and Shannon Thompson (29 pounds.). These waters are also productive for Arctic grayling as well as the occasional walleye.

Accommodations are modern, comfortable, and inviting, with heat, electricity and private bathrooms standard in each double occupancy cabin. The main lodge features excellent meals and an open bar.

The camp staff is among the finest we've encountered in Canada over the years, and we recommend Brabant to the pike angler who insists on fishing the best waters at top-notch facilities.
